31 Days of Abiding

31 Days in October

During the month of October, I will be linking up with The Nester and seven other fabulous bloggers for a 31 day writing challenge. This is where we pick a topic that we are passionate about and write about it every day for 31 days.  There are no hard or fast rules.  It can be as many words, or as few words as you like.  A picture?  Sure!  How about a vlog?  Absolutely!  The key is to share your heart and to keep at it for 31 days.

Take a look at what these fabulous women have up their sleeves:

Nester – 31 Days of Charming Imperfection
Jen – 31 Days to Balancing Both Beauty and a Budget
– 31 Days of Memory Keeping
Melissa: 31 Days: Inspired Holidays
Sandy: 31 Days of Warmer Connections
Darcy: 31 Days of Photo Tips
Emily: 31 Days to Change the World
Emily: 31 Days of the Little Things

And this year, Nester & Co. are opening it up to allow for other bloggers to link up their posts.  I am so excited to accept this challenge for my own growth as a writer, as well as for the chance to meet some fabulous bloggers along the way.

Since I blog to encourage women through the Word of God, I have chosen the topic of “abiding“.  This is not a Bible study, although I will most likely be quoting lots of scripture along the way.  But I want to share my personal journey of what God is teaching me as I lean on Him.

Here is a little peak into what you might expect the first week:

Definition and Overview
The process of abiding
Overcoming distractions
The short attention span
Abiding in the valley
Abiding in the storm

Would you consider joining me for your own 31 day writing challenge?  Is there a topic that you are passionate about?  It could be anything and I mean anything!  Darcy at Life With My 3 Boybarians is hosting a link party where we can share our 31 Day topics.  Stop on over and introduce yourself, share your topic and link up.  Each of the 8 bloggers listed above will also host a separate link up for their own niche of bloggers as well.

I hope I will see you during the month of October as we blog our heart and passions for 31 days!

I am so impressed Barbie.  Good for you to tackle this challenge.  My challenge is to try to read many of the 31 days posts.  🙂  But I love your choice; abiding.  I will have to follow along with yours for sure.

    Blessings and love,
