Top Picks of 2011

© IngridHS -

I am having so much fun reading everyone’s “Top Ten of 2011” blog posts.  I am reading some of these posts for the first time and am truly being blessed.  I thought that it would be fun to highlight my top posts.  These are not necessarily the ones that drew the most traffic, but rather those that really spoke to my own heart when I wrote them, and still do today.  Here are my top picks of 2011.  I pray that they will encourage your heart!

January – Cultivating a Heart of Love.  I want to know Him!

February – Waiting – May you be strengthened in your waiting seasons.

March – No Compromise.  Revelatory to my own heart, about living a life of no compromise before God.

April – Hidden Grace.  Part of my journey to 1000 gifts.

May – Building Community.  About blogging and the insanity that often comes with it.  Still speaking to me today.

June – Daddy’s Little Girl – Oh the Father’s love!  It brings tears to my eyes.

July – Be Still My Heart.  A call to stop, to slow down, to ponder His Words.

August – Broken, Yet Whole.  I may be broken, but God makes me whole.

September – The Grace for Change.  Still working on these changes.

October – When It’s Not Perfect.  Admitting my failures and short comings.

November – Walking by Faith.  On a continuing journey of faith.

December – What Truly Matters.  Keeping myself focused on the important things.

Do you have a favorite blog post from 2011?  Will you share it with me?  I would love to read it.

Love this. Can’t wait to read your fav’s. I was searching to find my fav, but I didn’t see it. You wrote about “our voice”. It came on a day when I was struggling to see my voice as anything. I was reliving those doubts and insecurities that I fight off often. And your words were music to my soul. I think about that post often.

  2. Barbie, I think building community really resonates with me. I too have had to find a balance in my blogging. When I started blogging, I couldn’t ever imagine anyone reading my words either.

Hi, Barbie! Isn’t it amazing to look back over your own blog posts and see all that God has spoken to your heart over the year? Amazing to step back and look at the journey. I was reading the Building Community…I still struggle so much with feeling bad about not being able to spend much time going around reading other’s blogs. It is hard to balance it all for sure! But I do so love the women I have been able to connect with!

And I love the post you linked to from your 31 day series. 🙂 Looking forward to reading more.

Thank you my friend.  The post about building community still strikes a heavy chord in my heart today.  Something I have to continually keep going back to.
