Everyone Needs A Little Encouragement

If you are like me, your heart needs a little encouragement on life’s journey every now and then. Whether it’s a “high five” for a job well done, or a little acknowledgment from the boss for going the “extra mile”, or a Facebook note on your wall from one of your friends that says, “I’ve been thinking about you”, these little sentiments speak volumes to the heart and can fuel you to walk a little farther on your journey.

I was so excited to read that my blogging friend Veronica from Adventures of D and V wanted to bring a little encouragement to others by way of a handwritten card, note or letter.  In this age of social media, the hand written sentiment is almost forgotten.  I rarely even mail a letter (or bill for that matter) any more.  I am so excited to be able to take part in this encouragement adventure.  I have been matched with a blogger who I have not yet met and I am looking forward to getting to know her more.  And hopefully I will continue to encourage her heart well beyond the end of this project.

Would you like to participate in the Adventures of Encouragement swap with Veronica and others? Head on over now and see how you can sign up!

“Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.” (2 Corinthians 13:11)

As I read your words, I immediately thought of Cindy from Letters from Midlife. She sends beautiful cards to so many blogging friends. I’ve received one of her cards when least expected and it was such an encouragement. I will have to check out the blog you mentioned as I’m not familiar with her.

Have a wonderful Monday and be encouraged in the Lord. I am off to get on my treadmill.

    Blessings and love,
    Debbie

Hi Barbie, Love this post and like you I love to send/receive cards that are “just because”,no special reason other than to say we matter. Hope you have a wonderful day.
