Inspired Blogger: {Wendy @ Saved Sister}

I am thrilled to introduce you to this month’s Inspired Blogger.  I really can’t remember where I met Wendy, although I believe it was a Five Minute Friday link up.  One of the things that drew me to Wendy was her huge smile in her profile picture, and how she shines the light of God in her encouraging posts.  I know that you are going to love her as much as I do!

Without further adieu, please welcome Wendy of Saved Sister

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

My name is Wendy and I am a wife, momma, daughter, sister, and friend. D and I have been married for 20 years and he is in all ways my warrior. We are raising three boys together with a whole lot of love and laughter. My cup overflows with the blessing of them and I love them madly. We live in a sweet little farm house in Tennessee. I love to read, write, watch movies, and hang out with my guys.

How long have you been blogging and how/why did you start?

I have been blogging for a little over 3 years now. I started doing it as a way of journaling and it has blossomed into so much more than I expected.

What is the purpose of your blog?

I hope that everything points to Him. I share my heart about everything from my faith and my family to recipes and books that I am reading. But my prayer is that in everything I write He is seen in it all. My deepest desire is that my writing makes much of Him.

What do you most enjoy about blogging?

I am most thankful for the relationships. My readers and fellow bloggers have become dear friends. I love that we share our hearts here.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about loving on kids and sharing Jesus with them. I volunteer as a small group leader in the children’s ministry at our church spending each weekend with an incredible small group of 4th & 5th grade girls that have stolen my heart. I am equally passionate about loving on mommas and have recently started serving as leader of the moms group at our church. I am so blessed to spend each week with them and to be walking through life together.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by those who just leak Jesus. I want to be around them, talk with them, learn from them, and pray that the overflow splashes on me.

Tell us something random about yourself.

I am an introvert when I first meet people. Once I get to know you though the extrovert comes out. 🙂

Share with us one of your favorite posts and what you love about it?

Dear Me…A Letter To My Teenage Self — This is the one. The one that was hardest to write. The one that cost me to share. The one that shows how God has worked in my life. The one that is more about Him than me.

Thank you. This was very special. I also liked the thought you left with me of seeking God’s strength and joy. I need that today and you reminded me to ask the Lord.

Thank you for the linkup. I did have a hard time coming up with a short enough title, lol, I guess I am long-winded. I have a linkup party every Wednesday over at my place, WholeHearted Home, in case you are interested in joining.

You have a lovely blog….and I will be looking around for a bit tonight. 🙂
