Quiet Your Heart

My Child,

Your heart is racing right now.  I can feel it, beating fast.  I can sense it’s yearnings. You long for stillness, for quiet, for peace in the midst of the chaos that surrounds you.  And as you sit there, taking another sip of tea and breathing Me in, you ache.

Although I cannot strip away everything that is weighing heavily on you right now, I can show you how to quiet your heart so that you can once again be filled to overflowing.  This does not necessarily mean that the noise all around you will be silenced, nor does it mean that the storm that is threatening to invade will not land directly in the middle of your space.  And I cannot promise you that the chaos you are experiencing in this moment won’t be there in the morning.

You will keep in perfect peace
all who trust in you,
all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
(Isaiah 26:3)

The response of your heart in your quest for quiet should be to look at Me.  Fix your eyes on Me, and get your eyes off of what you can see.  When you purpose in your heart to look at Me and to trust Me, your heart will be filled with peace.  Even in the midst of all that surrounds you, there is peace and quiet, but you must look at Me.

I hear the noise and I see the storm that looms.  Look up, My Child! Look into my eyes.  There you will find the peace and quiet that your heart desires.

Until tomorrow,
Love Jesus

I enjoyed reading this and tonight it spoke to me. My heart is troubled with my surroundings and this drew me into thinking on God and His love.

    Very nice, blessings.

Barbie – This is beautiful! Resting in Him has been being hammered in my head lately – but your post felt like it was not just about me, but being spoken to me. Thank you.
