Come Away And Rest
Your mind is racing. Your heart beating fast. There are so many things, people, wanting your full attention. You struggle, falling under the weight of it. You call out to Me, “Which way do I go?”
Your responsibilities seem overwhelming at times. And you cry out, “Lord, can I just please have a few more hours in my day?” I have ordained each day, from the rising of the sun to it’s setting, to hold the time allotted for you to accomplish all that I’ve called you to do. “But Lord, what is it that you want me to do?”.
I want you to Breathe, to inhale My presence. It’s okay to rest. I give you My permission to slow down and cease from your striving.
Don’t be worried by the silence. Just listen for the whisper of My voice. It will come through loud and clear as you come away and rest.

Over the last week I have struggled to finish this series. The words just would not come. My heart was swelling, but my ears could not hear the Lord. I am in a personal time of reflection and going deeper in God. I have also been heavily burdened with the needs of those around me. I am tired, weary and feeling empty. I have been pouring out without being refilled. Sometimes when God begins to speak, He will draw us away into a season of rest.
This last post was very personal for my own heart. I am going to head the voice of the Lord and take some time to rest. Will I write? I will if the words come. But I will not strive. This must continue to be a place where His voice is heard above my own. Will you please pray for me as I walk through this season? He has drawn me here before and He will bring me through.
Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” He said this because there were so many people coming and going that Jesus and his apostles didn’t even have time to eat. (Mark 6:31)
