When You Feel Stuck, Stop And Write A Blog Post
I don’t know about you, but some days the writing is just hard. I have several posts sitting in draft on my dashboard. Ideas that came to me here and there, words that formed in my head and into my heart, full of inspiration and passion, only to be left dry and unwritten once I actually set down to write the post. It’s hard when our seasons of writing are a struggle. We want it to come easy, at least I know that I do.
I no longer question why the words don’t come easy, or at all some times. I no longer beat myself up for not being able to string my words together perfectly. I choose to believe that sometimes, it will just be hard. And that’s okay.
But I don’t want to stop writing. I would love to be able to continue sharing my heart and my life with you, even when it’s hard. So this month, I’ve accepted a challenge from my friend Lisa at Stop And Smell The Chocolates to write every weekday for the month of April. I am starting today, at the eleventh hour! Knowing that I also post at least once on the weekend, this will be quite the challenge, but I am up for it.
I cannot promise you that each post will be deep and profound, but I can promise you that I will write. I will share my heart, my craft, my ideas, maybe a recipe or a book review. I hope to inspire you, make you laugh and perhaps give you that nudge to write again.
If you are up for this challenge, it’s not too late to join us. Just head over to Lisa post and let her know you’d like to join in.
No matter what, never forget that your worth is not based on how much you are writing.
Whether you write every day, every week, every month or here and there, your words matter and what you say has value. I would never want to put added pressure on you. But if the words and ideas have been swirling in the back of your head, this may help to get you going. Whether you have deep and profound words, a craft or recipe to share, or would like to inspire us to see the beauty in every day through photography, we would love to have you! And if not, that is okay too. Perhaps you will stop over here to encourage me along the way!
I’ll see you tomorrow!
