Five Minute Friday: Story

Today I am joining Lisa-Jo and others for the 5 Minute Friday where we are given a word prompt and write for just 5 minutes simply for the joy of writing. No editing or backtracking necessary. No need to be perfect. Just words freely flowing from my heart to yours.

I often wonder what kind of story is being weaved together through the tapestry of my life. My beginning is of a girl who did not know true love, until she was taken by surprise by the greatest lover of all time.  Alone, my story is meaningless.  But linked up with His story, mine is powerful.

The story of my birth, hardship, loss, depression, learning to trust, longing to be known, it all gets weaved together into the greatest story book of all time.  Will anyone ever want to read my story?  It doesn’t matter.  What truly matters is that I have a story, and together with His story, I will shout it from the roof tops, in the hopes that through the telling there may come life, healing, encouragement, breakthrough, and joy.

As my life unfolds, many pages have yet to be written.  Every word I say, every move I make, recorded in the book.  My story is unfinished, but I know the One who holds the last page.

*This took me about 10 minutes to write, no kidding. I am so tired, I kept falling asleep at the keyboard.  I don’t even know if it makes any sense.  Now, off to dream with God!

  5. Agree with the ladies. Alone, and without Him our stories don’t have much of an impact; but together and with God in our life we are able to accomplish so much for so many people. Be blessed, Kim
