Inspired Blogger: Mary Bonner
Today, I am so excited to introduce you to Mary Bonner. I have been very blessed to have gotten to know Mary through blogging. She has always been so encouraging, and what I love most about her is she is real. She openly and honestly shares her heart, the joys of life intermixed with the challenges, and she has a huge passion to encourage the hearts of women, as do I.
Without further adieu, meet Mary Bonner
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’m 53, married for 30 years with one living child. Six and a half years ago we moved from the Midwest and our home of 25 years to the east coast for my husband’s job.
How long have you been blogging and how/why did you start?
I published my first post on Dec. 1, 2009…I guess that makes it 4 years! I started blogging as a means of keeping a journal; a means of documenting what I hear from the Lord.
What is the purpose of your blog?
I am in the process of discerning the purpose of my blog. Originally, I envisioned strictly a faith-based blog with devotional type postings. However, in the last 6 months I am feeling a tug from the Lord to change the focus slightly. I want to encourage women and mothers – especially Moms of older teen/young adult children.
What do you most enjoy about blogging?
The interaction with other bloggers is probably the thing I enjoy the most. I never thought the internet could be the means of meeting real, genuine friends.
What are you passionate about?
I am in my sweet spot when I am helping others, especially women. I love encouraging women in their role as wives and mothers.
Who or what inspires you?
Hmmm…I wish I had some wise answer to this question!
Tell us something random about yourself.
I am the 6the child in a family of 7 and there are 8 years between child number 5 and me.
Will you share with us one of your favorite posts and what you love about it?
This was hard for me, but I like this post. I like it because I believe that tears are a window to the soul. They are happy, sad, cleansing, joyful, excited…so many emotions all in one teardrop.
