Five Minute Friday: Encouragement
Today I am joining Lisa-Jo and a beautiful community of writers for the 5 Minute Friday where we are given a word prompt and write for just 5 minutes simply for the joy of writing. No editing or backtracking necessary. No need to be perfect. This is where I get to write, letting it all go, allowing the words tucked away deep inside my heart to find their voice.
It comes in the form of a hug, a nod, a smile, a hand held, a gentle kiss.
It comes wrapped up as chocolate and in the warmth of a cup of coffee.
It comes in the mail in the form of cards and little gifts and surprises.
It comes in the laying on of hands and in prayer, and with arms outstretched in worship.
It comes via text message and voice mail, just because “I was thinking about you”.
It comes through the washing by the water of the Word of life.
It comes from the pages of books read, so many notable quotes.
It comes in the form of words not on a page, but on a screen, that reach out and touch me in deep places.
It comes through women I am blessed to know both in real life and in a beautiful community of on line word weavers.
Encouragement. It comes in so many forms. I am thankful for the many ways God uses those in my life to encourage my heart. I pray that He will use me to encourage the hearts of others.
