Thoughts On Peace // Featured Guest – Chrissy @ The Brave Wanderer

Friends, I am so excited to introduce you to Chrissy. I found Chrissy’s blog during her 31 Days of Inspiration series last October 2014. She has the most beautiful photos on her blog and she’s from Germany. I love that I have a friend from Germany. Please make sure to stop by Chrissy’s blog and have a look around.

Hello dear readers of Barbie’s wonderful and inspirational blog. Barbie has invited me to be her guest today and I am very flattered. Thank you, Barbie, for having me yet again.

Today I would like to talk about something that has been on my mind lately: P E A C E.

With everything that has been happening all over the world, the terror, the pain, the hatred and violence – all I really long for is P E A C E. It makes me angry and sad to see all of this, but it also scares me to my core. How can we go on with all the things happening? How can we pull strength from them to continue with our lives in an even stronger way than before? I want my daughter to grow up in a good world. I want her to be safe. I don’t want to be afraid when going to places of what might happen.

That is why I want to inspire others. I want to spread positive thoughts and I want to encourage them to be exactly who they are. No matter where you come from or what you believe in, you deserve to be the person you were meant to be. Because we cannot change anything if we do not believe in ourselves and in the things we are able to do.

I want to believe that almost everything happens for a reason. It was meant to be just like it is. There is some sort of plan for everyone and every action – the results are not yet defined though – we can never know where the road will take us. We cannot see where we will end up – we just have to be faithful and trust that in the end we will be able to recognize the reasons and find P E A C E in them.

Understand that not everything is meant to be understood.

Live, let go and don’t worry about what you can’t change.

I know this is easier said than done. Especially if you are an over-thinker like me. I tend to put too much thought into everything and tend to question people’s intentions rather than to just accept them. I, too, have to learn to be more acceptive and trusting of the good. This why I try to find inspiration in words, in pictures, in songs or in the words of my vis-à-vis. Try to really listen to what others have to say instead of rushing through every conversation already thinking of my next “task” or the next thing that needs to be done.

Minds are like Parachutes - they only function when they are open. @brave_wanderer Click To Tweet

So, be open. Open to yourself and your abilities. Open to others – accept them for who they are, respect them and take them seriously. It will make them feel understood. It will give them the feeling of being special – and that is what we all are – S P E C I A L – all in our own way.

You are unique. You are special. You are you.

I hope I was able to inspire you a little bit and you enjoyed reading along.

Hugs xxx

Barbie, thank you again for having me – it is always and honour to be a guest in your corner of the internet.

Christina_BraveWandererHi, I am Chrissy-wife and mom of one from southern Germany. I blog over at The Brave Wanderer about life in general, the things I like and anything that moves me in one way or another. Knitting is my favorite thing to do in my spare time and I won’t ever say no to a good cup of joe. I love quotes and I collect mugs and enjoy taking long walks with our pup to unwind from my 9-5 at the office. It helps clear my mind and I wouldn’t miss that me-time for anything. Come on over and take a look around-maybe you can find some inspiration. You can also find me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

From one over-thinker to another…I understand. 🙂 Thanks for the encouragement. ((blessings))

I love this: “Understand that not everything is meant to be understood.” Seems as if we all want an answer and an explanation immediately for what happens in the world. If we accept that we cannot understand everything, and put our trust in God and believe He is in control, then we can find inner peace. I for one am much relieved to know The Lord is on His throne! Blessings!

I, too, am such an over-thinker. That can be hard on a person, right? So thank you for this encouragement, Chrissy, to be exactly who we are and who we are meant to be. Also for the reminder that God has a plan for everything even though the results are not yet defined.
