Let Hope Arise // Glimpses Link Up

Hope filled the atmosphere this morning as believers came together to lift up the Name of the Lord in praise and worship. My heart swelled as I remembered the promise I had just been reminded of the night before.

After having gone through season after season of loss, sometimes I lose sight of the promise that there are good things ahead of me. After finding myself living a life so much different than the one I envisioned, prayed for and sought after, it has taken some time to get use to my new normal. And when I find myself again on the path of weariness, I remember once again that He knows the way.

When I find myself on the path of weariness, I am reminded that He knows the way. #glimpsesofhisbeauty Click To Tweet

He’s a good God and He delights to give good gifts to His children. Sometimes we may look at the bumps in the road and the detours in our lives as contrary to the goodness of God. Even though the circumstances which may have led to changes in our lives that we cannot yet grasp or understand may have come with much pain and loss, we can rest assured that God will work all things together for His good.

I am encouraged once again that God is the hope giver. It’s not my life as I once knew it that gives me hope, but it’s the very life that I have right now, handed to me by a loving and faithful God. And even though I navigate murky waters and there is still so much healing to come, I can pursue Him with passion and purpose as I cry out to the One who is forever faithful,

“Let hope arise in my heart God, let hope arise.”

Let hope arise in my heart God, let hope arise. #glimpsesofhisbeauty Click To Tweet

How is God causing hope to arise in your own heart? How can I pray for you?

And now I continue to list the beauty that I’m finding in my every day life.

In my 60’s now and I can also say that life turned out far differently than I planned for myself. And yet, God has shown Himself faithful through it all. God’s story in us is powerful to impact those who need hope, and for that I am thankful.
Blessings to you this Memorial Day.

Like you, I keep holding onto hope even when things look dim. I could use prayer for the restoration of a very strained relationship with my daughter. Thank you!
    Have a blessed day,

I love your weekly glimpses round ups Barbie.

I’m reminded of the Psalm that says when God arises, our enemies are scattered. Wonderful truth to dwell upon!

Congrats on your latest grand baby! So happy for you!

Holding on to this truth can get me through so many things: “He’s a good God and He delights to give good gifts to His children.” So grateful that God is a hope giver!

Congratulations on your new grandson, Barbie! Such a priceless treasure! Enjoy those precious cuddles!

Thank you for this hope-filled post. I can identify with this – “Sometimes we may look at the bumps in the road and the detours in our lives as contrary to the goodness of God.” It’s so important that we fix our eyes on His never-failing goodness instead of all the detours, right? Love and hugs to you!

I love those verses! They are so comforting!
As I look back at all the trials that the Lord has brought me through and all He has taught me along the way, I’ve come to realize that our understanding of “good” is often not the same as God’s definition.
He is the Creator. His thoughts are not our thoughts nor His ways our ways. We would be content to play in the shallow water forever, but He wants to take us on deep sea dives where He is our Guide and Protector. We can content ourselves to have Him as a figurehead on the bow of our ship; He wants to BE our ship, our ark of safety. Our minds are so finite; He has such great and wonderful plans in store for us!
Bless you, sister! Congrats on the birth of your amazing grandson! <3

This is so true Ruth. God Himself is good to His very core. So everything He does is good. Have a blessed weekend!
