Spring is here and finally the sun is shining and I can wear flip flops without my toes getting cold. Honesty, I’ve had the longest Winter season. Spiritually though I can say that although I am still experiencing many hard places personally, I can feel the warmth of the sun on my face which reminds me that this season will not last forever.
So today, I just want to think out loud. I would love it if you would share your thoughts with me in the comments below. I love this little community that I’ve built here through this link up over the years, but at the same time, I want it to be a meaningful place of community and gathering. Lately, I don’t feel as if I’ve been doing the link up justice through my writing. I know we all go through seasons in our writing. Some times we are filled to the brim and His goodness oozes out onto the page; yet there are other times when we are dry, lacking and there doesn’t appear to be anything flowing. In my case, I feel as if the faucet has been turned off.
My goal with this link up has been to provide a place where I share the glimpses of His beauty in my every day life. And even though I know that God brings beauty from ashes and I’ve been told how much others are encouraged when I share the messy, unordered parts of my life, I can’t help but think that I may have lost some in this season simply because I’ve not been writing something that can be taken away and applied to their own life. I want to be able to give you the best of what I have to share each weak and honestly, I don’t feel as if I’ve been doing that.
While I’m no quitter, I’ve been praying and asking the Lord for His plan for this space. While I don’t expect to quit blogging altogether, clearly my life has become all consuming and I continue to need permission to be absent from this space more than I am present. It’s taken me until the weekend now to get around to visiting all those who are linking up, but I want you to know how very much I appreciate you being here.
Because you are such an important part of this community, I want to know what you think. Is this link up beneficial to you? If so, why? I know there are many places where you can link up, and many of you do link up other places, but why do you continue to link up here.
Sometimes I just have to think out loud. I hope you don’t mind. And I really would love to hear from you. Please leave a comment below, or email me, or get a hold of me on Facebook. I’m not sure how the Lord is leading me just yet concerning the link up or my writing, but I do know that He’s with me and He will be glorified in and through it.
Thank you for being here. I really do appreciate each and every one of you!
