Reckless Love // Glimpses Link Up

You guys, I’ve been swamped this week and have not hardly gotten around to your linked up posts from last week. Sometimes life ebbs and flows and you just need to roll with it. But I miss reading your words and will try to find the time this week to get around to your blogs.

Last week I shared about the Extravagant love of God and this week, I have a new worship video to share with you about the reckless love of God. It’s a new song by Cory Asbury, sung by one of my favorite worship leaders, Steffany Gretzinger. Can I just tell you, this song….I don’t really even have words to describe how I feel when I listen to it.

There’s no shadow you won’t light up,
mountain you won’t climb up,
coming after me.

There’s no wall you won’t kick down,
lie you won’t tear down
coming after me.

We can never run from the love of God. He’s in passionate, reckless pursuit of our hearts and He will never stop chasing us down.

I pray this song will bless you as much as it blessed me this week.

And now I continue to list the beauty that I’m finding in my every day life.

Glimpses #481 – 490

    Barbie,
Thank you for sharing this song….I just listened and let the words wash over me. We don’t think about God being reckless, but when it comes to love for me/us, there is nothing He will stop at to pursue me/us. He just keeps coming….thanks for a powerful reminder this am.!
    Blessings to you this week,
    Bev

Barbie, I love how you stay on top of music that’s out there and then bring us to the party. I confess that I’m not very adventurous in my listening, so I need friends like you.

Listening to this song right now. It’s new to me. Love it! And also love this, both your word choices and the truth underneath them: “He’s in passionate, reckless pursuit of our hearts and He will never stop chasing us down.” Thanks, Barbie.

Hi Barbie, I’ve just got to say I love that song! In fact, I’ve bookmarking your post so I can hear it whenever I want. The worship reminds me of Bethel Church in Redding, Ca. Loved catching up on your week.
    Blessings,
    Noreen

Hi Noreen, the guy who wrote the song is a worship leader at Bethel, and the gal who sang it is also a worship leader there! Next week I am posting some thoughts from the song writer about why the “reckless love of God”, as many seem confused by that. So I hope you’ll stop in next week.
