Inspired Blogger: {Gina @ Silverlake Sound}
Beginning this week, I have added a new “featured blog” category to my sidebar. Each month, I will introduce one of the blogs I follow, and that blog will have a special place on my sidebar for the entire month. My purpose in this is to share with you some of the fabulous and encouraging blogs that I frequent, in the hope that you will be encouraged by them as well. So, without further adieu, I am excited to introduce you to my very good friend and co-worker Gina at silverlakesound.
Gina and I have known each other for many years, as we have served alongside one another in ministry. We were pregnant together (me with my 3rd child and her with her first) over 10 years ago. She is someone that I admire and look up to, and go to for wisdom and insight into the Word of God. I currently serve as her admin at Convergence House of Prayer, where Gina and her husband Johnny lead our Children’s Equipping Center.
I sent Gina a short questionnaire to fill out so that you could get to know her just a little better.
What is the purpose of your blog?
To share the “now” Words of the Lord, to open up the Word and share the fresh revelation from the Spirit, and to spark believers and get them excited to unlock revelation of the Word for themselves!
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about Israel, the Urgency of the Hour, Intimacy with Jesus, Missionary Work in Foreign Nations, and Equipping the Next Generation, to name a few 🙂
Who inspires you in life and why?
Everyday people that press on when things are tough, that put on a smile and minister to other people when they are in the middle of a storm themselves. The selfless 20% in the church, they sit, they pray, they bless others, and they don’t complain. They love the Lord’s work. They inspire me.
What else would you like to share with my readers?
Everyone needs help. Everyone needs a little encouragement, a little creative jolt, a little spark to get them going again. When we come to that realization, we enjoy our relationships, our co-workers, our kids, and the blogs we follow alot more 🙂 Don’t take the deposit and bury it, take it and soar! (Matthew 25:14-30)
Gina blogs passionately about Jesus and her greatest focus is to know Him intimately, above all other things. I hope you will visit her at silverlakesound and leave her some comment love!
