Abiding {Day 24} – In the Desert — 6 Comments

  1. Hi Barbie,
    Good post!
God has brought me to the spot of being alone and He leaves me here. No matter how many times I ask Him to give me friends, people to connect with, He doesn’t. I feel so very alone in a crowd. I use to be very sad about this until He started showing me this is what He wants for my life. Alone in Him. It is from here that He has done much in my life and in the lives of others. He has me hovering on the outside looking in.

I really was waiting for this post, to see what you had to say and I love it! For me, though, this is not a spiritual dryness but richness. I guarantee He is right beside you, working on you, teaching you. He is taking your beautiful feelings and molding them into something very precious and special indeed.

    • Another great perspective.  So much wisdom you’ve shared.  It’s all about how we look at it, isn’t it?  I really appreciate your constant encouragement!

  2. this part of the verse; “he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.” makes my heart so glad.  i have experienced the steadfast love of the Lord in the midst of dry places and it makes me praise Him all the more.  great post.

  3. I want to continually seek God, whether I’m splashing in the river or thirsting in the desert.  Too often we do let fear hold us back, but God’s perfect love casts out that fear.  Praise God!
