The Weekend Brew: The Mystery of Grace
Grace. It’s a beautiful mystery.
Some days it feels non-existent, and everything feels hard.
Other days, it falls like a slow, cool rain on my skin and seeps deeply into my pores, bringing nourishment and refreshing.
Still other days, it comes crashing through as loud thunder, impossible to ignore.
When I am weary and void of strength, He says,
“My grace is sufficient for you.” (2 Cor. 12:9)
The mystery of His grace overwhelms me when I need it the most.
He will not allow me to fall.
Now it’s your turn to share encouragement here at The Weekend Brew.

We’ve been studying the subject of God’s grace in a sermon series at our church. Since my name, (Ann) means “full of grace”, I’ve always loved the word and its meaning. God’s grace is all sufficient and is shown to us in so many ways, as you haven written! Thanks for sharing and hosting the Sunday Brew link-up!

Beautiful, as always, Barbie. Our pastor just finished a sermon series on grace so this really spoke to me. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Blessings.
Thank you my friend! As always, too short of a weekend, but there is grace for the week ahead. Blessings!
Your post reminds me of this hymn.
Grace Grace
God’s Grace
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within
Grace Grace
God’s Grace
Grace that is greater than all our sin.
Love it! AMEN!
His grace is sufficient, indeed. 🙂
Praying He surrounds you with His grace every minute my friend!
HIS grace is amazing…HIS love overflowing….HIS miracles limitless!! <3
Blessings and hugs Barbie!
AMEN! Have a blessed week Denise!
His Grace…it truly is a mystery, yet one I hope to never be afraid of nor turn away from. We are blessed each day and need to stay in the cleft of His Rock for He walks by us in all His Grace.
“in the cleft of the Rock”. I’d like to stay there too! Blessings!
Beautiful!! Barbie you words are like the sweet rain. 🙂
I am so very grateful for an extra measure of God’s grace in my life right now. It overwhelms and envelopes and makes me feel like I am tucked under His wing. What a blessing.
Praying that you experience His grace in similar measure this week. [hugs]
“tucked under His wing”….hmmmm….I think I’ll stay there! Have a blessed tomorrow Diane.
Beautiful post, Barbie! Grace is one of the most amazing gifts I have ever received and feel it most when I can extend it to others. Blessings to you! Love, Rachael
I give it away to others better than I receive it myself. Praying you have a beautiful tomorrow.
Terrific quote, terrific thoughts. Thank you for the encouragement!
Thank you for stopping by Carrie!
Hey Barbie … I invited myself in for a cup of coffee {mmm … how ’bout a glass of ICED tea instead?}

Grace upon grace… He is so good to us! 🙂

love love love anne lamott….
I’m grateful I stumbled up this quote. Blessings!
Dear Barbie
Oh, and we need that grace in abundance every day! I love how Paul tells us in the Book of Hebrews too just draw near to God to receive His grace.
Blessings
Mia
It’s so easy, isn’t it? Yet so hard, but only because we make hard.
Barbie –
I love the quote from Anne Lamott. This was a beautiful post!
Have a great weekend,
Joanne
Thank you Joanne!
