The Weekend Brew: A Season of Simple Joys — 22 Comments

  1. Barbie….I am looking forward to your Tuesday encouragement on the simple joys of Christmas. How important it is that we are focusing our hearts on the nativity of Jesus Christ. Thank you for the link up this week. Have a blessed day in the Lord.

  2. Hi Barbie! I’m reading Ann Voskamps’ “The Greatest Gift” with a few friends and will definitely swing by to share the simple pleasures of the season. Like you, I don’t want to miss a thing! Happy Sunday!

  3. Barbie – Was so thrilled that your are writing about joy too, this season! God has been impressing upon my heart the call “to joy” also…and how it starts in Him, but leads to a fullness, overflowing, and peace…in US! Looking forward to reading your “simple joys” as we both point to Him, this holiday! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! ~ Jen

  4. Barbie – The desire of my heart is to intentionally focus on the One who came into this world, into MY world, and never left either the same! And this morning I am thankful that He did! I look forward to reading your thoughts throughout this month.

  5. Hi Barbie, I love this wonderful idea!!! I get so frustrated that people seem to forget the true meaning of Christmas!!! We should all focus on the joy of a simple, beautiful time that celebrates our Saviour!! 🙂 Have a blessed day!!

  6. Dear Barbie
I once had Hindu friends who celebrated Christmas with a Christmas tree, gifts and the works. It made me wonder if people really know the Living Reason behind these celebrations! Once we do, Christmas becomes a continuous celebration in our hearts.
