The Weekend Brew: I Am Still With Him
When I have little words to offer, where else can I turn but to His Living Word.
The waiting isn’t so hard when I remember that He is with me. He remains, even when my heart is devoid of words and my life is devoid of joy. I go to sleep at night, thankful to rest in His presence, and I awake in the morning remembering that,
His eyes are on me. (Genesis 16:13)
He will not allow my foot to slip. (Psalm 121:3)
He will restore my joy. (Psalm 51:12)
This too shall pass.
Are you grasping for words today my friend? If so, do not lean on your own understanding, but seek Him through His Word, and allow Him to fill your heart once again.
*I was honored to be interviewed at Rebekah of Three Bees in a Blue Bonnet’s place today, sharing my journey of creating art with my hands. You can click here to read the interview and see a few examples of my art.

You know I love you sweet friend!
Beautiful art Barbie! Continuing to pray for God to fill you to overflowing joy and restore you in ways you could never dream of. Blessing on you my friend!
Praying you have a blessed Sunday Cathy!
Totally agree – He WILL restore your joy! He has for me, at times when I didn’t believe joy was ever possible again. Keeping you close to my heart.
Thank you Carrie!
I needed to read this. Thank you.
Thank you Lisa. May the Lord continue to bless you!
You know, Barbie, the wording of your title was interesting – it made me think. I so often tell myself that “He is with me” – and that is no small thing. It’s a statement of truth that brings me great comfort, strength, and peace. But your title “I am still with Him” presented a *twist* in my thinking. Sometimes when we’re in the middle of a storm or a wilderness or a long season of drought, this is a wonderful statement of faith. HE never changes, never forsakes. But sometimes, we do.
So, this post not only greatly encouraged me that HE is still with me, but also that even though my life has been turbulent lately, I am still with HIM! The enemy of our souls is dealt a great blow when we still CHOOSE to turn to God in the midst of his “devouring lion roars.” My loyalty and love for God is not swayed by the arrows of attack. And that is no small thing either.
I hope this made sense – it’s kinda rambling. But, suffice it to say, this post made me smile.
GOD BLESS!
That’s such a great revelation! Thank you for sharing and for opening my eyes as well!
Actually, I’m going to expand my thoughts in my post for tomorrow! See, you’ve inspired me with words!! 🙂
Yay! Looking forward to reading.
Wonderful interview, Barbie! I enjoyed learning more about the process and about you! I hope you do pick up Hinds Feet in High Places. I would love to read through it again with you!
June, I just posted about the study of Hinds Feet on the blog. I hope you will be able to join in, in whatever capacity the Lord allows you too. Blessings!
Praising God for His faithfulness and fulfillment in our lonely, stressed, hard, joyful, loving places. No matter, He is there and His Word graces us through each moment.
Caring through Christ, ~ linda
