God Is Kind
It is because of the kindness of the Lord that I am here today. Sure, he loves me and will never stop loving me. But it’s His kindness — His heart filled with love and compassion toward me — that brings His continual favor over my life. It truly was His kindness that brought me to my knees in repentance.
Kind = loving, tender, caring, affectionate, compassionate, sympathetic, understanding.

I do not deserve His forgiveness, but in His kindness
He forgives again, and again, and again.
I do not deserve His mercy, but His kindness casts my sin
as far as the east is from the west and welcomes me into His presence.
But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
(Titus 3:4-7)
I love this verse in the Message translation below. I may not deserve a lot of things in this life, but when God looks me in the eye, He can’t but help show forth His kindness to a broken and bruised daughter, made in His image.
But you, O God, are both tender and kind,
not easily angered, immense in love,
and you never, never quit.
So look me in the eye and show kindness,
give your servant the strength to go on,
save your dear, dear child!
Make a show of how much you love me
so the bullies who hate me will stand there slack-jawed,
As you, God, gently and powerfully
put me back on my feet. (Psalm 86:15 – The Message)
As you listen to this beautiful song, may you reflect on the many ways God shows His kindness to you.

Where would we all be without the compassion and kindness of our heavenly Father. In a big heap of trouble, that’s where! 🙂 Great reminders of God’s faithfulness, kindness and love Barbie. xoxo
What would we be without the kindness of God? Completely and utterly lost and broken. Thank you for sharing these verses today. Great reminders that our God is always kind. How much it must hurt when we mistrust him.
Amen, Sister, Amen!
That same God, who we are made in the image of, works through us to others that do not know Him yet. It is with kindness through us that Jesus is seen.
Hi Barbie! What a beautiful post…just what I needed at this time! Many times it is so hard for me to fathom just how much God loves me and that His mercy and kindness has nothing to do with my sin, but everything to do with His nature…that’s just who He is and He includes all of His children in this promise! Thank you so much for this lovely reminder this morning! Blessings!
