My Portion — 10 Comments

  1. I love the verse you chose from Psalm 73. My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and portion forever. Those words are powerful and a beautiful promise that we need only rest in Him and turn to Him for all our needs. Thank you for these beautiful words today.

  2. This made me think of 6:35, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.'”
    Such beautiful words, friend.
I so love this series you are doing.
    I so love YOU.

  3. I was recently talking to a bunch of kids about Psalm 23, and the miracle that it is for someone to be able to sit down around a table with enemies. Kids get this. They know that the emotions are real. Do some of us outgrow wisdom?? Thanks for reminding us when we forget!

  4. Spiritual nourishment. Soul food. Manna from heaven. I speak on this topic often Barbie. And I absolutely love that you have reminded us to hold onto the life sustaining nourishment that can only be found in Christ Jesus. Love this: “when we allow our emptiness to be filled with Him, our outlook on life gets better.” And all God’s people said “Amen!” 😉 xoxo
