Nicole Nordeman’s “The UnMaking” – Review & Giveaway

About 15 years ago, I was introduced to the music of Nicole Nordeman. Her beautifully spun lyrics always drew me into the presence of God. She sings with passion and conviction from a sincere heart fully devoted to God. I was thrilled when given the opportunity to review Nicole’s newest album, “The Unmaking”.

About the album

“Before things in our lives can be resurrected and given new life, certain things must die. Before beauty blooms in spring, roots must do the hard work under the hard frozen soil of winter. Before you renovate and re-build, you tear down the parts of the structure that are weak or damaged or dangerous. Before we make, we must unmake.” Nicole Nordeman

My thoughts

This is another album of Nicole’s that I am pleased to have in my worship collection. I was completely undone with the lyrics of “The Unmaking”.

This is the unmaking
The beauty in the breaking
Had to lose myself
To find out who You are
Before each beginning
There must be an ending
Sitting in the rubble
I can see the stars
This is the unmaking

This song came into my life at a time were I feel as if I’m being unmade in so many ways. The endings have been painful, but I am looking forward to seeing how God uses this season for His glory.  You can watch the video for “The Unmaking” here.

Oh this new album sounds so good!! I don’t know if you’d consider this a worship song or not, but Nichole Nordeman and Amy Grant’s I’m With You has been my go-to song lately!

  6. Mollie Hardman says:

O’ Come To The Alter by Elevation Worship has been my go to worship anthem of late. It is a song from their newest album that releases in February 2016. I was lucky enough to get to go to the live recording of the album in July!
