Embrace Day 8 // Five Minute Free Writes “Muddle”
Life holds so many choices, so many paths with which we can walk. When you come to that fork in the road, how do we always know which way to go? We walk down paths surrounded with green grass and blooming flowers, and we tend to avoid the ones were the presence of life is seemingly nonexistent.
I often second guess my choices. The grass is not always greener on the other side. But I know that if I lean in closely and listen for the still, small voice, He will show me the way.
My gait is not always one of strong and sure steps; rather, I step hesitantly on the road which I can only hope will lead to life, love, peace and joy. But sometimes I simply have to muddle through. I fight through my fears, the mess that has become my life, the tangled disarray and disorder. One path leads to opportunity and life, another to closed doors and lost dreams. Yet, I must keep walking, keep allowing God to lead me. Oh, even when I choose the wrong way, He still leads me. There is a risk that one must take in life, and that is to risk making the wrong choice. I’ve made many of those.
Sooner or later I have to rest in the confidence that I’ve chosen the right path. And what if perhaps I didn’t? God is still with me, and He uses all things for good. So no matter what, I choose to believe the choices I’ve made in life were ones that had to be made to bring me to the next place on this journey. Even when the path becomes messy and overgrown with weeds, there is still light to be seen.

When we truly seek Him, God uses even our miss-steps and mistakes for our good and His glory. Sometimes is takes a lifetime to see the truth of this, which is why we walk by faith. Keep on walking, my friend!
God is still with me. Love it!!!!
