Read His Word And Find Beauty At Every Turn // Glimpses Link Up
Beauty is not always within our sight. There is so much that clamors for our attention. Often our focus is given to the thing that is troubling us. It’s so easy to become distracted when we can’t see around the mountain that is looming in front of us.
On those days when I need to be reminded of His beauty, I go to His Word. When I pick it up and read it, there is beauty at every turn.
Among the pages of His Word are reminders of just how beautiful life is. Reminders of the beauty of creation, the beauty of forgiveness, the beauty of healing, restoration and love. His promises are beautiful and they speak life at every turn.

The Beauty of Forgiveness and Love
You are forgiving and good o Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you. (Psalm 86:5)
The Beauty of Healing
I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 30:17)
And one that I need all the time, reminders that I am beautiful!
You are altogether beautiful my darling, there is no flaw in you. (Song of Solomon 4:7)

Thank you June. I’ve been sidelined with the flu the last few days. I hope to catch up soon, but my go into November.
The distractions sometimes are so overwhelming to me! Yes, His Word is the most beautiful thing to bring us back in from those constant distractions! My favorite is Psalm 139.
That has to be mine too!
Thank you for sharing your beauty with us. I love Ephesians 2:10. Knowing I am God’s masterpiece is so comforting.
AMEN! Such a great truth. Have a blessed week Mary!
Congrats on making it half-way through Write 31 on Instagram! Love the Scriptures you shared – and I too need those reminders that I’m beautiful in His sight. May God bless your week with many new glimpses of His beauty.
Thanks so much Anna!
One of my favorites is Psalm 27:4: One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.
I’ve meditated on this scripture many times! Have a great day Barbara!
Amen, amen, amen!!
Thanks for stopping by Tammy!
Thanks for the reminder to seek out the beauty instead of just fixing potholes all day!
What fun is that anyway? Have a great weekend Lisa.
I’m studying Romans 8 right now, and there is so much beauty in that very first verse: No condemnation!
AMEN!
Psalm 139 is my go-to Scripture. 🙂
One of my favorite verses as well.
Thank you for sharing such lovely Scriptures and images reminding us to look for HIS beauty. I find myself going back to Isaiah 55 time after time, and hearing Him speak His words of comfort that His ways are so much higher than my own. And, congrats on making it past the half-way point for your 31Days challenge!
Love the book of Isaiah! Have a blessed day BettieG.
There is definitely beauty in turn when it comes to His Word and His love for us. So thankful you reminded us of that fact today. Thanks for hosting. Have a great week.
Thanks for stopping by Donna! Blessings!
What a lovely read to start the morning, Barbie!!
I appreciate the positiveness you include on your blog, as we do tend to focus on what the news throws at us, which seems to be so negative!!
XOXO

Love these verses. I love the creation story because it reminds me of God’s creativity and the beauty of His creation. Ever since I read The Magician’s Nephew by CS Lewis, I picture God speaking each thing into creation, using different tones depending on what He creates.
I love that….God speaking creation into existence with differing tones. Thanks for stopping by Debbie!
These are great verses to fill our minds with beauty. I also love Ephesians 2:10 and the fact that we are God’s masterpieces, individually created by him, and that, while we are works in progress, he is making us into something beautiful.
Oh I love that scripture too! I am so thankful He is making beautiful things out of the dust of my life. Blessings!
