A Light In The Darkness: {Finding Peace in Psalm 23}

My Shepherd has led me safely all of my life, even during those times when I could not see.  And especially during those times when I wandered away from the safety of the fold.  He would leave the other sheep to find me. (Luke 15:3-7)  He continually pursues my heart, both during times of trial as well as during those times when I am walking in disobedience.  He promises that He will be with me in my dark season.

I was created to be continually in the presence of the Shepherd.  There, I am surrounded by His peace, rest and love.  But it’s nearly

Still Waters: {Finding Peace in Psalm 23}

(photo credit)

Today I am continuing my journey of Finding Peace in Psalm 23 with my friend Kerri over at A Simple Princess.  Last week, we discussed the first part of vs. 2,

He makes me lie down in green pastures,  (Psalm 23:2a)

I am so thankful that My Shepherd leads me to places of peaceful and quiet rest, so that my mind, body and spirit can be refueled.  The second part of this verse speaks of the place of quiet waters — cool, refreshing and peaceful streams where I can draw strength for my weary heart.

he leads me beside quiet waters, (Psalm 23:2b)

Refuel and Refresh.

When
