The Bridal Seal of Mature Love

PhotobucketThe Bride has come to a place of maturity in her walk with the Lord.  She knows who she is and who she belongs to.   The theme of Song of Solomon 8:5-7 is God’s commitment to supernaturally seal our hearts with His fiery love.

Jesus calls us to invite Him to come to us as the Jealous Bridegroom.

Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm,
for love is strong as death,
jealousy is fierce as the grave.
Its flashes are flashes of fire,
the very flame of the LORD. (Songs 8:6)

When we ask Jesus to come and seal our hearts with His love, He gives us the grace to walk it out.  He will never leave us nor forsake us

Unbroken Union with Jesus

© PixAchi -

Up until now, the Bride has been on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual maturity.  She is now at a place where she can serve alongside her Beloved unashamed, with boldness and humility.  She knows who she is, and she trusts the One who loves her.

His left hand is under my head, and His right hand embraces me. 4 I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases. (Song 8:3-4)

Jesus answers her prayer to be close to her (8:1) and fulfills His promise to lay hold of her (7:8).

The left hand of God speaks of the activity of God that we cannot see with our natural eyes.  The Lord does many

Humility and Anointing for Public Ministry

Over the course of the Song, the Bride has moved from a place of immature love into a place of partnering with Jesus in love.  As she has learned to embrace her Bridal identity, her sole purpose is to serve in ministry alongside her Beloved all of her days, in humility and with the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Partnership expressed through humility in public ministry.

Oh, that You were like my brother, who nursed at my mother’s breasts! If I should find You outside, I would kiss You; I would not be despised. 2 I would lead You and bring You into the house of my mother, she who used to instruct me. I would

Partnering in Love

© LE Media -

Last week we discussed how Bridal partnership is expressed through “instant obedience”.  This week, we will conclude Chapter 7 as we discuss the Bride’s mature partnership with Jesus in Ministry.  (*Much of the information here is from Mike Bickle’s notes on Song of Solomon.)

There I will give You my Love.

Come, my Beloved, let us go forth to the field; let us lodge in the villages. 12 Let us get up early to the vineyards…There I will give You my love. (Song 7:11-12).

Our field of service begins in our family, job, church and neighborhood. It is wherever God places us. We do
