Life had me in a comfortable place.  Going to the same place every day, working alongside the same people, doing many of the same tasks.  And there is something that I love about that.  It was routine, easy, familiar.  Sure, there was the unforeseen at times, the last minute things, the unexpected.  But for the most part, my heart was joined to those individuals.  I miss them.

I never thought in a million years that I would join the ranks of the unemployed.  But then again, I remember telling my children when their father first was laid off that we are all just a pay check away

 Go / Say

I’ve been thinking about this post all day, and have drawn a blank.  I could not figure out how to tie them together.  And then, the Lord brought to my mind this song by Kim Walker-Smith of Jesus Culture and I thought perhaps I’d just share it here and call it a day.

No matter where the Lord takes me next, I want to be in His will.  I want to go where He goes, and say what He says.  I pray that my feet would only walk the path that He has set out for me, and that my words would be filled with grace and love.

I hope that you enjoy this song!

I had already planned that this post would be late. I am nearing the end of my book study on Hinds Feet on High Places.  So instead of writing two posts on the same day, I decided to push this one off a day late, and then combine the next two and catch up. We shall see.

Today was a hard day, emotionally. You would think being off work and having all kinds of time on my hands I would want to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather, or shopping, or going over to the next town and visiting my parents.  But, I really didn’t want to do much of anything, let alone write a blog post.

Stuck

Woman staying with raised hands at the sunset time

I want to thank you for being here, walking with me through my reflections on change and allowing me to share my journey. I hope your heart is being encouraged, no matter what season you find yourself in.

I wanted to share from my heart tonight, more personally, because, well, I’m feeling a little worn out. I’ve been without a job for a week now, and though I want to remain full of faith that a job will come soon, I find myself entertaining thoughts in the back of my mind of the “what if’s”. Having a husband who is also unemployed puts a twist on our circumstances,
