  1. “Writing helps me focus my thoughts”. So true for me too. Thanks for sharing your heart here about writing. You have a beautiful way with words. I look forward to see what He has in store for you next!

  2. Hi Kathy!  Thank you for stopping by.  Yes, I LOVE people.  I love building community and I do try to respond to ever comment.  It’s important to me to that people know that their comments are helping to encourage me.  Please send me the link to your blog so that I can visit you!

  3. Barbie,
I love that you respond to each comment…I am new to blogging but I don’t see that all that much. It shows you love people:) When I read that you write so that you “never forget what God has done in your life,” I found a connection. It is why I have always journaled. My blogging is extending that to another form. Thank you for your honest heart. I will read this blog to encourage me with my own!

  4. I have been thinking about words lately, too. And the kind friends who have given encouragement to me at times when I desperately needed it.. even if they didn’t know. So much to be thankful for. 🙂

  5. Thank you, Barbie. Your spirit of encouragement and your faith –your knowing He always provides– brings me such hope. Your words are messages of His love. So grateful.

  6. He will weave my words together. Oh that is so beautiful Barbie! What a wonderful gift He has given you with these words. Thank you for sharing your gift with us through your blog! 🙂

  8. Words have power!  If we believe something ( I mean, really believe it, in the deep down places of our hearts) … we should speak, or in this case, WRITE!  Loved this!  Thank you!

  9. 🙂 I knew I would love this post just from the title. I, too, have a great love for words…especially His Words! So funny…I actually have a post I was planning on writing tonight. Let’s just say it runs a bit along the line of something you shared here. 😉

Praying for you, sweet friend, as you continue to share your words and His Word AND as you step out into new territory with Him!

    • I cannot believe how much our posts could run side by side.  I am looking forward to reading your newest post . Thanks for stopping by and encouraging me today.

  10. You post is encouraging…
    Have a blessed day…keep writing…

  12. “Writing helps me to focus my thoughts…” This is so true and one of my main reasons for writing. Words on the page help to articulate, and clarify, what I am feeling and thinking.

I am linking up through Write it, Girl. You have a beautiful “voice.” I look forward to reading more from you blog.

  13. We’re on the same page. I’ve always loved to write. I write to encourage others. I write to encourage myself. I write to figure out what I am even thinking. Writing clarifies things for me. I am thankful for your words tonight!

  14. Just beautiful, Barbie.  I also write as a way to remember all that God has done for me.  Looking back over past posts, I can see God’s hand moving in and through my life.  What a wonderful gift!  Many blessings!

  15. Found you through the Write it, Girl link up.  I started this blogging journey a couple of months ago and feel immensely blessed beyond what I imagined.  I echo your sentiments to those that visit, pray, leave comments and encouraging words.  Excited for you about the book journey.  I am entering one too.

  16. ” I write so that I will never forget what God has done in my life. ” that is one of the best reasons to write!
I am so thankful for the gift of words, too.  And for your words here, friend that always bring encouragement.

  17. So true!  It’s amazing that when I write in hopes that I may encourage someone else with the story God is giving me I often end up being the one encouraged!
